ASTM T1 High Speed Steel Application

T1 High Speed Steel Heat Treatment

1.Quenching: It is usually preheated to 820~870°C, then heated to the critical temperature (usually 1250-1300°C), heated by a salt bath furnace or box furnace, and cooled by oil.

2. Tempering: After quenching, heat the T1 high-speed steel to 500-600°C and maintain it for a certain period of time. Temper twice, for 1 hour each time;

In addition to quenching and tempering, depending on the requirements, normalizing, isothermal quenching, etc. can also be performed to improve the performance of T1 high-speed steel.
