BEFORE / DURING / AFTER PRODUCTION
Prepare high-quality raw materials according to customer needs, it undergoes screening, cleaning, drying, batching and other processing. It is usually composed of iron, chromium, nickel and other alloy elements. Then an appropriate amount of raw materials are put into the furnace, and raw materials such as iron ore and scrap steel are refined into pig iron or steel billets through steel-making equipment such as blast furnaces, converters, or electric furnaces.
At present, our production of stainless steel is mainly divided into one-step, two-step and three-step methods, as well as new integrated production methods. They are molten iron+AOD, EAF+AOD, EAF+AOD+ VOD, RKEF+AOD. And during the smelting process, we will also perform composition adjustment and impurity removal operations to ensure that the quality and composition of stainless steel meet the requirements.
The purified liquid stainless steel alloy is poured into the continuous casting machine to form a continuous cast billet through the continuous casting system, or the stainless steel billet is heated to the appropriate temperature and forged using pressure or impact force. This step is to form the stainless steel shape and size required by the customer.
According to different needs, hot rolling or cold rolling can be performed. The stainless steel hot rolling process uses slabs as raw materials, which are heated and made into the required shape by the rough rolling unit and the finishing rolling unit. The stainless steel cold rolling process mainly uses hot-rolled stainless steel materials, after rolling processing by cold rolling equipment, the surface is smoother and the dimensions are more precise.
Heat treatment of cast or forged stainless steel, through annealing, quenching, solution treatment, etc., changes the structure and properties of the steel, reduces the suppressed stress inside the stainless steel and softens the material, making it more suitable for various applications. Data such as temperature, cooling rate, time and pressure in this process must be very rigorous, and small changes may cause problems.
Finally, the stainless steel is surface treated through pickling, polishing, cutting and other methods to clean and improve its surface and enhance its corrosion resistance and aesthetics. After processing, strict testing and quality control are carried out to ensure that the products comply with relevant standards and requirements, and are packaged, labeled and stored.

By observing the appearance, color, texture, etc. of the stainless steel surface, see whether there are obvious defects, oxidation, corrosion, etc.
Use vernier calipers, micrometers, etc. to measure the length, width, thickness, diameter and other dimensions of stainless steel materials to ensure that they meet the specified size requirements.
Use spectral analysis methods (photoelectric emission spectroscopy or X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy) to test the chemical composition of stainless steel to ensure that it meets standard requirements.
Observe the metal structure of stainless steel through a metallographic microscope, detect its grain size, relative content, interphase distribution, etc., to evaluate the uniformity and compactness of its structure.
By conducting tensile, bending, toughness, hardness, impact tests and other tests on stainless steel, the tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, hardness and other performance indicators of stainless steel are measured.
Test methods such as salt spray, pickling, chemical corrosion, and electrochemistry are used to detect the resistance of stainless steel to corrosive media and evaluate the corrosion resistance of stainless steel.
