65Mn Steel Round Bar Coil Sheet Plate Heat Treatment

Heat Treatment Specifications
Quenching 830°C±20°C, oil cooling; Tempering 540°C±50°C (±30°C for special needs).

65Mn Spring Steel Annealed
In the traditional annealing process, first slowly heat to 730 ºC and allow enough time to allow the steel to be fully heated, keep it warm for 13 hours, and then cool the furnace to 650 ºC, then leave the furnace and air cool. Then 65Mn tool steel will get MAX 250 HB (Brinell hardness).

New annealing process: annealing temperature (860±10)°C, heat preservation for 45-60min, furnace cooling to (750±10)°C, heat preservation for 3-3.5h, after furnace cooling to 650-660°C, heat preservation The pit is slowly cooling. The metallographic structure meets the requirements: the pearlite structure is 2.5-6 grades, preferably around 4 grades, and the process improves the efficiency by 80%-100%.

Quenching of GB 65Mn Steel
65Mn steel should be started by heating uniformly to 830-860°C (1526-1580°F) until fully heated. After approximately 30 minutes per 25 mm of scribed section, the steel should be quenched in oil immediately.

Tempering of 65Mn Steel
65Mn steel is tempered at 540°C by soaking at the selected temperature for a minimum of 1 hour per 25mm of total thickness. Hardness values at different temperatures after tempering.
