1. What is forging?

2. What is hot rolling?
Hot rolling refers to the rolling of steel ingots or billets at high temperatures, generally heated to 1100-1250 degrees Celsius, with a termination temperature of 800-900 degrees Celsius, and finally cooled in air.
Compared with cold rolling, hot rolling is rolling below the recrystallization temperature, while hot rolling is rolling above the recrystallization temperature. To put it simply, a billet is heated and rolled several times, then trimmed and straightened into a steel plate, which is called hot rolling. Can significantly reduce energy consumption and reduce costs. During hot rolling, the metal has high plasticity and low deformation resistance, which greatly reduces the energy consumption of metal deformation. Hot rolling can improve the processing performance of metals and alloys, that is, the coarse grains in the casting state are broken, the cracks are healed significantly, the casting defects are reduced or eliminated, the as-cast structure is transformed into a deformed structure, and the processing performance of the alloy is improved. All in all, hot rolling is the need to heat the material during or before rolling. Generally, it is heated to above the recrystallization temperature before rolling.

Forged features:

2. Hot rolling usually uses large ingots and large reductions for rolling, with fast production rhythm and large output, which creates conditions for large-scale production.
3. The as-cast structure is transformed into a processed structure through hot rolling, and the plasticity of the material is greatly improved through the transformation of the structure.
4. The characteristics of the rolling method determine that there is anisotropy in the properties of the rolled sheet. First, there are obvious performance differences in the longitudinal, transverse and height directions of the material. Second, there are deformation texture and recrystallization texture. There is a clear directionality in the control performance.

Features of hot rolling:
1. It can destroy the structure of the ingot, refine the steel particles, eliminate the defects of the steel structure, make the steel structure dense and improve the mechanical properties.
2. It has excellent properties such as high strength, good toughness, easy processing and forming and good weldability.
3. Can significantly reduce energy consumption and reduce costs. During hot rolling, the metal has high plasticity and low deformation resistance, which greatly reduces the energy consumption of metal deformation.
4.
